What is biomass power?
Biomass power is a type of fuel derived from plant materials that are much better for the environment. Bioethanol is one such fuel which is actually a type of cleaner burning alcohol which can be effectively used to power automobiles. These fuels can also be made from recycled animals fats and greases. Privately, many people are converting their vehicles to these types of fuels and many government cars are also being converted.
What is a low-carbon economy?
A low-carbon economy is any economic structure that seeks to reduce as much as possible the release of greenhouse gases into the biosphere, with the most notable gas being carbon-dioxide. These gasses have been proven to alter our environment and our atmosphere in a way that is causing global warming and worldwide climate change. It is important now to reduce these emissions as much as possible because they are certain to pose problems to future generations of our species.
What is the IREA?
The International Renewable Energy Agency, or IREA, is an organization that helps regulate and define safe energy usage. Only a handful of countries have ratified the terms set by this organization although many countries have signed the act and pledged to meet the conditions by set dates in the future. Implementing this program worldwide will be of vast importance in protecting the Earth’s future, as well as our own.
